MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are important to the regulation of gene expression. Systematic profiling of miRNA expression is proving to be an efficient approach to discovering the association of miRNAs with a biological relevance and to identify the signature of miRNA expression in human diseases. Signosis’ miRNA array technology allows highly sensitive and discriminative profiling of miRNAs without pre-isolation of miRNA.

Cytokines and growth factors are essential molecules that play crucial roles in many biological functions, including viral infrection, inflammation, immunity, hematopoiesis, angiogenesis and proliferation. Cytokines and growth factors are produced by a variety of cell types in response to different stimuli. Therefore, measurement of multiple cytokines and growth factors at a same time provides an effective appraoch to uncover the mechanism underlying biological functions. For example, angiogenesis as a biological switch process is governed by numerous pro- and anti-angiogenic factors. The angiogenic switch refers to the balance between pro- and anti- angiogenic factors. Therefore, profiling of these factors is critical to understanding angiogenesis. Signosis developed a a number of ELISA profiling strip kits for monitoring 8 cytokines and growth factors, including angiogenesis, inflammation, and obesity.

Profiling expression of a group of genes or signature with Signosis' cDNA plate arrays.
(1) NFkB-, p53-, HIF-, and Stat3-regulated cDNA plate arrays measure expression of 20+ target genes. The activation of these transcription factors and down-stream biological functions can be monitored with the arrays.
(2) Akt-pathway cDNA plate array profiles expression of 20+ Akt-pathway genes. More pathway-orientated cDNA plate arrays are coming soon.
(3) Function-orientated cDNA plate arrays such as inflammation and cytokines target 20+ function-related genes. Expression of these genes can be monitored at a same time.
