AP1 EMSA (Electrophoretic-Mobility Shift Assay) kit is used for monitoring AP1 (Activator protein 1) (c-Fos/c-Jun) DNA binding activities and activation. AP1 is a transcription factor that regulates gene expression in response to a variety of stimuli, including cytokines, growth factors and stress. Upon activation, AP1 can recognize and interact with the unique DNA binding sequence and form protein/DNA complex, which can be separated from free DNA due to the differences in their electrophoretic mobility in native (non-denaturing) polyacrylamide gels.
