A multiplex kit is also available which can measure all three caspase types simultaneously in the same sample.
Principle
Apoptotic Caspase Detection Combo Kit (Single-plex Format)
Each assay utilizes a unique fluorogenic substrate that is specifically cleaved by each caspase variant. Once cleaved, the substrate produces a luminescent signal which can be detected with a fluorescence plate reader. The Apoptotic Caspase Detection Combo Kit provides three different probes to measure caspase-3/7, caspase-8, and caspase-9.

Apoptotic Caspase Multiplex Detection Kit (Multi-plex Format)
In this assay, the substrates for each caspase type have unique fluorogenic dyes with different emission spectra, which allows for multiplex detection of multiple caspase types in one sample well. This allows scientists to use less sample and fewer plates to analyze the same amount of data.
