Cellular Metabolism Assay Kits

Signosis’ Cellular Metabolism Assay Kit provides a comprehensive solution for measuring the key components in cellular metabolism in blood and other biological liquids, cells, or tissue samples in a single, streamlined workflow. This kit enables the detection of glucose, lactate, ATP, and NADH by integrating multiple assays into a single kit.

Principle

Signosis’ Cellular Metabolism Combo Assay Kit provides a convenient and efficient multiplexed solution for the simultaneous quantification of four key components in cellular metabolism: glucose, lactate, ATP, and NADH.

This assay utilizes specific enzymatic reactions for each target, with detection based on either fluorogenic or colorimetric signals that can be measured using a standard microplate reader or a spectrophotometer, enabling high-throughput metabolic profiling in biological samples such as serum, plasma, or cell lysates.

  • Glucose – glucose oxidase catalyzes glucose oxidation, generating H₂O₂, which is detected with a fluorogenic probe.

  • Lactate – lactate oxidase converts lactate to pyruvate and H₂O₂, which is detected with a fluorogenic probe.

  • ATP – ATP is consumed by glycerol kinase to convert glycerol into glycerol-3-phosphate, which is oxidized to generate H₂O₂, detected with a fluorogenic probe.

  • NADH – directly reduces WST-8 to a yellow formazan dye, measured by absorbance at 450 nm.

Additionally, individual kits for each component (glucose, lactate, ATP, and NADH) are also available for customers who prefer to test specific metabolic markers.
