B16-F10 is a murine melanoma cell line derived from C57BL/6 mice and is widely used as a model for melanoma progression and metastasis. These cells are highly tumorigenic and exhibit strong invasive and metastatic potential, particularly to the lungs in syngeneic mouse models. B16-F10 cells are commonly employed in studies of tumor biology, immuno-oncology, metastasis, and anti-cancer drug development, providing a robust platform for both in vitro assays and in vivo research.
The cells should be handled at laboratory containment level 1.
