LNCaP is a human prostate adenocarcinoma cell line widely used as an androgen-sensitive model for prostate cancer research. These adherent epithelial cells express the androgen receptor (AR) and prostate-specific antigen (PSA), making them a valuable system for studying androgen signaling, prostate cancer progression, hormone response, and therapeutic development. LNCaP cells are frequently used in drug screening, gene regulation studies, and investigations of resistance mechanisms in prostate cancer.
