U266 is a human multiple myeloma–derived plasma cell line widely used as a model for plasma cell biology and hematologic malignancies. These suspension cells secrete immunoglobulins and retain characteristics of malignant plasma cells, making them ideal for studying tumor biology, antibody production, signaling pathways, and drug response. U266 cells are frequently employed in preclinical drug screening, functional genomics, and mechanistic studies in multiple myeloma research.
The cells should be handled at laboratory containment level 1.
