The Signosis PABP RNA EMSA Kit offers a complete, non-radioactive platform to detect and characterize Poly(A)-Binding Protein (PABP)–RNA interactions using biotin-labeled RNA probes and native gel electrophoresis.
PABP is a highly conserved RNA-binding protein that specifically binds to the polyadenylated [poly(A)] tails of eukaryotic mRNAs. PABP plays a central role in mRNA stability, translation initiation, and mRNA circularization through interactions with other translation factors such as eIF4G. PABP also contributes to post-transcriptional regulation and is involved in protecting mRNA from degradation.
Using a biotin-labeled poly(A) probe, this assay detects the formation of RNA–PABP complexes, which migrate more slowly than unbound RNA during native PAGE. The kit includes all necessary components for efficient, sensitive detection, including the biotin-labeled RNA probe, binding buffer, detection reagents, and detailed protocol instructions.
