The Signosis TTP RNA EMSA Kit provides a complete, non-radioactive assay system for detecting and characterizing TTP–RNA interactions using biotin-labeled RNA probes and native gel electrophoresis.

Tristetraprolin (TTP), also known as ZFP36, is a zinc finger RNA-binding protein that binds to AU-rich elements (AREs) in the 3′ untranslated regions (UTRs) of target mRNAs—particularly inflammatory cytokines like TNF-α—and promotes their degradation. TTP regulates gene expression post-transcriptionally and is a key player in inflammatory response, immune regulation, and mRNA decay.

Upon binding to ARE-containing RNA probes, RNA–TTP complexes form and migrate more slowly than unbound RNA during electrophoresis, allowing detection via EMSA. This kit includes biotin-labeled ARE RNA probes, optimized binding buffer, and chemiluminescent detection reagents for specific and sensitive analysis of endogenous or recombinant TTP activity from nuclear or cytoplasmic extracts.
