Signosis has established the human Jak2 WT (wild-type) expressing Ba/F3 cell line which has been leveraged for research in hematopoietic cell signaling, specifically focusing on the Janus kinase 2 (Jak2) pathway. Jak2, a pivotal tyrosine kinase in cell signaling, regulates fundamental processes such as proliferation, survival, and differentiation of hematopoietic cells. This cell line is ideal for comparison with oncogenic variants and investigating JAK2’s physiological function, and also serves as a baseline control for evaluating the effects of mutations (such as V617F) in our other Jak2 expressing cell lines.

The cell line was generated with human JAK2 wt expression vector into BaF3 cells, and the single clones have been selected with hygromycin treatment, GFP expression. The positive clone has been confirmed with PCR-sequencing and Western blot with anti-JAK antibody.
