cAMP response element-binding protein (CREB) is a transcription factor involved in numerous cellular processes such as gene expression, cell survival, differentiation, and memory formation. The CREB luciferase reporter vector is designed to study the transcriptional activity of CREB. The vector contains a CREB DNA consensus binding site and TA minimal promoter upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report CREB activity while maintaining a low basal level of transcription. It also contains the Renilla Luciferase under the CMV promoter for data normalization.
