GATA transcription factors are a family of zinc finger proteins that bind to the GATA sequence and play essential roles in the regulation of gene expression during development, cell differentiation, and immune responses. The GATA luciferase reporter vector is designed to study the transcriptional activity of GATA. The vector contains a GATA DNA consensus binding site and TA minimal promoter upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report GATA activity while maintaining a low basal level of transcription. It also contains the Renilla Luciferase under the CMV promoter for data normalization.
