Homeobox protein Hox-A5 (HOXA5) is a transcription factor that is involved in regulating embryonic development, cell differentiation, and patterning during development, especially in the context of anterior-posterior axis formation. The HOXA5 luciferase reporter vector is designed to study the transcriptional activity of HOXA5. The vector contains a HOXA5 DNA consensus binding site and TA minimal promoter upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report HOXA5 activity while maintaining a low basal level of transcription. It also contains the Renilla Luciferase under the CMV promoter for data normalization.
