Interferon regulatory factors (IRF) are transcription factors that play a critical role in regulating the immune response, inflammation, and the development of various cell types, especially in the context of viral infections, autoimmune diseases, and cancer. The IRF luciferase reporter vector is designed to study the transcriptional activity of IRF. The vector contains an IRF DNA consensus binding site and TA minimal promoter upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report IRF activity while maintaining a low basal level of transcription. It also contains the Renilla Luciferase under the CMV promoter for data normalization.
