Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (NRF2) is a transcription factor that plays a crucial role in regulating the body's response to oxidative stress and maintaining cellular homeostasis. The NRF2/ARE luciferase reporter vector is used to measure the transcriptional activity of NRF2 by using a luciferase reporter gene under the control of Antioxidant Response Elements, which are specific DNA sequences that are recognized by NRF2. It also contains the Renilla Luciferase under the CMV promoter for data normalization.
