E47 is a member of the E protein family of basic helix-loop-helix transcription factors and plays a critical role in cell differentiation, development, and the regulation of genes involved in immune response, hematopoiesis, and neurogenesis. The E47 luciferase reporter vector is designed to study the transcriptional activity of E47. The vector contains an E47 DNA consensus binding site and TA minimal promoter upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report E47 activity while maintaining a low basal level of transcription.
The inclusion of a neomycin resistance gene in the vector allows it to be used for stable cell line selection. In addition, the vector also has a GFP-tag which can be used to monitor transfection efficiency. A map of the vector can be found in the product's image gallery.
