Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (NRF2) is a transcription factor that plays a crucial role in regulating the body's response to oxidative stress and maintaining cellular homeostasis. The NRF2/ARE luciferase reporter vector is used to measure the transcriptional activity of NRF2 by using a luciferase reporter gene under the control of Antioxidant Response Elements, which are specific DNA sequences that are recognized by NRF2.
The inclusion of a neomycin resistance gene in the vector allows it to be used for stable cell line selection. In addition, the vector also has a GFP-tag which can be used to monitor transfection efficiency. A map of the vector can be found in the product's image gallery.
