SRY-box transcription factor 17 (SOX17) is a transcription factor that plays a critical role in developmental processes, particularly in endoderm formation, gut development, and vascular differentiation. The SOX17 luciferase reporter vector is designed to study the transcriptional activity of SOX17. The vector contains a SOX17 DNA consensus binding site and TA minimal promoter upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report SOX17 activity while maintaining a low basal level of transcription.
The inclusion of a neomycin resistance gene in the vector allows it to be used for stable cell line selection. In addition, the vector also has a GFP-tag which can be used to monitor transfection efficiency. A map of the vector can be found in the product's image gallery.
