FOXH1 is a transcription factor in the Forkhead box family of proteins and plays a significant role in the regulation of mesodermal differentiation and embryonic development. The FOXH1 luciferase reporter vector is designed to study the transcriptional activity of FOXH1. The vector contains a FOXH1 DNA consensus binding site and TA minimal promoter upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report FOXH1 activity while maintaining a low basal level of transcription.
The inclusion of a neomycin resistance gene in the vector allows it to be used for stable cell line selection. In addition, the vector also has a GFP-tag which can be used to monitor transfection efficiency. A map of the vector can be found in the product's image gallery.
