Forkhead box C1 (FOXC1) is a transcription factor that plays an important role in a wide variety of biological processes, including development, cell differentiation, proliferation, and tissue-specific gene regulation. The FOXC1 luciferase reporter vector is designed to study the transcriptional activity of FOXC1. The vector contains a FOXC1 DNA consensus binding site and TA minimal promoter upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report FOXC1 activity while maintaining a low basal level of transcription.
The inclusion of a neomycin resistance gene in the vector allows it to be used for stable cell line selection. In addition, the vector also has a GFP-tag which can be used to monitor transfection efficiency. A map of the vector can be found in the product's image gallery.
