Forkhead-related activator (FREAC) is a transcription factor that plays a critical role in regulating cell growth, differentiation, metabolism, and immune responses. The FREAC luciferase reporter vector is designed to study the transcriptional activity of FREAC. The vector contains a FREAC DNA consensus binding site and TA minimal promoter upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report FREAC activity while maintaining a low basal level of transcription.
The inclusion of a neomycin resistance gene in the vector allows it to be used for stable cell line selection. In addition, the vector also has a GFP-tag which can be used to monitor transfection efficiency. A map of the vector can be found in the product's image gallery.
