Hepatocyte nuclear factor 1A (HNF1A) is a transcription factor that plays a central role in the regulation of liver-specific genes, glucose homeostasis, metabolism, and development. The HNF1A luciferase reporter vector is designed to study the transcriptional activity of HNF1A. The vector contains an HNF1A DNA consensus binding site and TA minimal promoter upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report HNF1A activity while maintaining a low basal level of transcription.
The inclusion of a neomycin resistance gene in the vector allows it to be used for stable cell line selection. In addition, the vector also has a GFP-tag which can be used to monitor transfection efficiency. A map of the vector can be found in the product's image gallery.
