Nuclear factor of activated T-cells (NFAT) is a family of transcription factors that play a central role in the immune response, particularly in T cells and other immune cells. The NFAT luciferase reporter vector is designed to study the transcriptional activity of NFAT. The vector contains an NFAT DNA consensus binding site and TA minimal promoter upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report NFAT activity while maintaining a low basal level of transcription.
The inclusion of a neomycin resistance gene in the vector allows it to be used for stable cell line selection. In addition, the vector also has a GFP-tag which can be used to monitor transfection efficiency. A map of the vector can be found in the product's image gallery.
