Pleomorphic adenoma gene 1 (PLAG1) is a transcription factor that plays an important role in regulating cell proliferation, growth, and differentiation. The PLAG1 luciferase reporter vector is designed to study the transcriptional activity of PLAG1. The vector contains a PLAG1 DNA consensus binding site and TA minimal promoter upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report PLAG1 activity while maintaining a low basal level of transcription.
The inclusion of a neomycin resistance gene in the vector allows it to be used for stable cell line selection. In addition, the vector also has a GFP-tag which can be used to monitor transfection efficiency. A map of the vector can be found in the product's image gallery.
