SLC2A1, or solute carrier family 2 member 1, encodes a major glucose transporter (GLUT1) in the mammalian blood-brain barrier. The SLC2A1 Promoter luciferase reporter vector is designed for studying the regulation of SLC2A1. The vector contains the SLC2A1 promoter region upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report activity for SLC2A1 activity.
