TFF1, or Trefoil Factor 1, is a protein involved in protecting the gastrointestinal lining by stabilizing the mucus layer. It plays a role in cell differentiation, particularly in the liver, and can act as a tumor suppressor in some cancers, while in others, its expression levels are complex and can correlate with malignancy. The TFF1 Promoter luciferase reporter vector is designed for studying the regulation of TFF1. The vector contains the TFF1 promoter region upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report activity for TFF1 activity.
