TEA domain transcription factor 1 (TEAD1) is a transcription factor that plays a significant role in the Hippo signaling pathway and regulates gene expression involved in cell growth, differentiation, and tissue homeostasis. The TEAD1 luciferase reporter vector is designed to study the transcriptional activity of TEAD1. The vector contains a TEAD1 DNA consensus binding site and TA minimal promoter upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report TEAD1 activity while maintaining a low basal level of transcription.
The inclusion of a neomycin resistance gene in the vector allows it to be used for stable cell line selection. In addition, the vector also has a GFP-tag which can be used to monitor transfection efficiency. A map of the vector can be found in the product's image gallery.
