NANOG is a transcription factor that plays a critical role in maintaining the pluripotency of stem cells, particularly in embryonic stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells. The NANOG luciferase reporter vector is designed to study the transcriptional activity of NANOG. The vector contains a NANOG DNA consensus binding site and TA minimal promoter upstream of a firefly luciferase reporter gene, which can specifically report NANOG activity while maintaining a low basal level of transcription.
